Audition - 20 minutes

• 2 Major three-octave scales and G arpeggios
• 2 Selections from Suzuki Book 5 (or equivalent) of opposing styles and tempi.
• 1 Selection from the Supplemental Repertoire list
• Sight-Reading

Theory Placement Exam

Written Exam - 45 minutes

• Major and Minor key signatures
• Circle of 5ths
• Musical Terminology
• Forms (Binary, Rondo, Concerto)

Listening Exam - 15 minutes

• Rhythmic Dictation
• Rhythm Recognition
• Melodic Dictation
• Chord Quality Recognition (major, minor, diminished, augmented)

Interview - 15 minutes
