TESS Parent's Association

The TESS Parent's Association is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization that exists to support the artistic, educational, and charitable activities of the Talent Education Suzuki School. They provide funding for our Scholarship Fund, our Community Outreach Fund, and our General Support Fund by seeking grants from foundations, corporate support and sponsorship, and donations from individuals and corporations. All donations are fully tax-deductible.

Scholarship Fund

Our Scholarship Fund exists to assist those families whose resources do not extend to music lessons. When adequate funds are available, we also provide quality instruments for our scholarship students, and help with other related musical expense. Recipients must demonstrate need and must maintain excellent standing in the school. The Fund relies on grants, corporate sponsorship, and private donations, and the number of scholarships we can offer each year depends on the success of this fund. Spring Fundraising Events

We are hosting house parties throughout lower Fairfield County to raise money for our Scholarship Fund this spring! February we will be in Wilton, March in Norwalk, and April in Stamford. We will also schedule parties in Westport, Weston, Fairfield, New Canaan, and Darien. TESS has many students from all of these towns and more! We will also host a Take it To The Streets outdoor event in SoNo (South Norwalk) as the weather gets warmer this spring. Check here for dates! Our students will be busking on Washington Street for funds for music scholarships, and Chocopologie is partnering with us with a special surprise. Stay tuned for details!

Community Outreach Fund		Corporate Support and Sponsorship
Our Community Outreach Fund sponsors efforts of TESS to bring the arts into lower Fairfield County. This Fund covers the expenses of community performances for arts festivals, senior care centers, public schools, and charitable events of other non-profit organization. All performances are given free of charge. This Fund also covers the costs associated with sending our teachers into the public schools to assist them with their music programs, which often operates on insufficient funding. To contribute to this fund, please contact Becki Christophersonto discuss your area of interest. We thank you in advance for your generosity!		TESS Parent's Association actively seeks corporate support and sponsorship for our special events and scholarships. Participation in special events provides repeated advertising to over 150 families in lower Fairfield County. Sponsors are listed in all promotion for our special events as well as on the program. Sponsors of scholarships are listed in our brochures as well as in our Celebration Concert program. The Parent's Association also seeks board members who have connections with foundations and corporations and may be able to facilitate support. General Support Fund

Our General Support Fund covers the expenses of the Parent's Association and assists TESS in covering unforeseen costs. This Fund also enables TESS to continually improve the facilities and the instrumental equipment we offer our families. All donations that are not otherwise earmarked are placed in the General Support Fund. To contribute to this fund, please contact Becki Christophersonto discuss your area of interest.
