Performance Activities |
|
The study of music is the study of art, and a primary purpose of art is self-expression. Performance lends meaning to practice, and students are much more interested in practicing when they know there is a performance coming up! Group performances are intended to contribute to our community and generally include performances at nursing homes, community events, and fund-raising events for other artistic or child-oriented organizations. Solo performances are generally recitals intended to give the child an opportunity to share their music on a more personal level with friends, family, and peers. No performance opportunity should be viewed as a reason to be nervous or worried, but rather an opportunity to celebrate all of the student’s hard work and accomplishments as they discover the joy music brings to others. |
